At Precision Vision South OKC, our eye care team’s assistance in helping patients with their eye health starts with a comprehensive vision and eye health examination. This is designed to detect and analyze a wide range of problems affecting visual function or eye health disorders, including blurry vision or eye discomfort.
The American Optometric Association recommends everyone should have a comprehensive eye exam every one to two years.
In our mission to provide the best eye care services possible, our eye care team uses the latest techniques and equipment in prescribing glasses and contact lenses and diagnosing the presence of glaucoma, cataracts, age related macular degeneration, hypertensive retinopathy, and many other vision threatening conditions.
Advanced Ocular Equipment in our office includes:
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for the most accurate analysis of retinal lesions and optic nerves. This allows for early detections and monitoring of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, as well as glaucoma and other neurologic conditions.
- Corneal Topography gives a detailed measurement of the cornea helping to rule out non-disease related optical blur. This is a gold standard tool for identifying keratoconus. It also aids us in contact lens fitting.
- Visual Field Test is an essential tool for detecting areas of vision loss caused by a brain tumor, stroke, glaucoma, diabetes, hypertension, or head trauma. It can also be used to monitor the progression of previously known visual field loss.
- Digital Retinal Imaging is a high-resolution photographic system, which details the retina and can be used to establish a wellness baseline and to follow critical retinal developments throughout life.
